I've heard that there is a possible recall on the 2003 Z400s. I was told it has to do with the case. Is this true and is there any other recalls for that year?

 

"recalls" i dont think so...but check the upper front shock mounts for cracking. if there is any sign of a crack re-weld it asap. but no cracks,no worries

 

There was a recall the upper shock mounts were prone to giving out.A gusset kit will fix that right up.

 

I do know that one of the early year z's had something on the motor made of a metal that was prone to corroding/leaking on it.Suzuki never did a recall of them though.

 

There was a TSB and reimbursement plan (not an official recall) for the 2005 model years for the magnesium clutch cover. But that did not affect the 2003 model.

Thats what I was trying to think of!

 

ok thanks guys ill check those shock mounts and if i see even a hairline crack im gettin out the MIG. Thanks again.
