KFX 400 trouble with the reverse
#5
Well there is a rev limiter on reverse, it is really not supposed to pull very hard......
Is it just the limiter? Or is the clutch slipping? Try adjusting the clutch pull and see if that makes a difference.

thanks for the Info. I also have a suzuki ltz250 and I was wondering how do you adjust the front brakes because they are to ferm and my wife has rolled it over because of it to ferm.

Brakes are too firm? Not sure how to fix that one, most people like them firm. Usually a firm lever and good stop is a sign of good brakes.
If she is rolling it over because of good brakes there is a problem with her riding technique...... Either she is not using the back brake enough, or she has poor body position while braking. If she's not leaning back while braking hard it will result in a problem. Perhaps she just needs to practice some techniques for better control, or use the back brake more.
If she is in any situation where front brakes might cause a roll-over, she needs to be leaning way back, riding the rear brake, and "fanning" the front brake so as not to lock them up.......
But if you adjust your brakes to the point where they won't lock up, you might suffer during regular braking. There might be too much fade in the brakes and when you need to stop really fast it might not be there........ IMO your brakes can never be too good......
