"compression eliminator"? explain.

do you mean compression release? if so, just disconnect the cable.

and "suzuki"? well, suzuki makes alot of quads, what one specifically? an lt230?

Thanks lt230sman, you are right! "compression release" it's a LT230,
I have to hold down a small lever, while engine spins over, release lever for engine to start, without releasing, engine with not start? trying to bypass this
process with the engine starting? 4 stroke, I had older quadracer 86 and 88
2 stroke without all this Lever bullshit?
Thanks Donnnie

Here's how I start mine:

1) Find neutral
2) Push down on the kicker with my foot until it gets really hard to push. Piston is at beginning of compression stroke.
3) pull kicker back up a click or 2 so I have the most room to kick
4) Push compression release lever down and let go of it. It will stay on it own.
5) Kick. The compression release will let go and the engine will start.

Once the exhaust valve opens, the compression release resets.

well mine doesnt even have the lever or cable on it anymore haha. i just find the compression lump and kick like crazy. its really no problem for me. maybe its since im of the younger variety haha. oh and the compression is fine, if i go slowly i can stand with all my weight (140lbs) on the kicker on the compression lump.

ah i think i finaly get what's going on here lol!

you have an lt230E, i was thinking of an lt230S, which is a kickstart only bike.

and i'm guessing that there's some kind of interlock switch on the compression release that won't let you crank the motor without squeezing the lever?

if so, you could bypass it, but these bikes can have quite a bit of compression, and you might toast your starter.

the only reason other electric start bikes dont have the lever is since most of them have an automatic compression release system, and 2 strokes dont have any at all.

hope this helps

If its electric start, I think the lever is there incase the battery dies and you need to use the pull-rope. Nobody uses compression release in conjuction with the starter.

Take the lever off if you don't want it... It don't matter.
