My outer boot is blown. I have found replacement on Ebay. How do you get the shaft out of front end housing to replace? I have seen that you cannot take it off the hub end as yoke is way bigger. Also, is the brakes on Ebay with shipping( around 70.00) about as cheap as going to cycle shop?
Does anyone know where I could pick up a good service manual with diagrams of how to work on these?
Thanks in advance for any help!

There is a large snap ring that keeps the inner CV in place. Find the end and work it out then the CV slides out easily.

Remove snap ring off end of axle and the inner CV star will come off, plus the inner boot. Then you have access to change the out boot.

Reverse order. I just did one last weekend. Pretty easy, messy, but easy.
