Eiger fuel shut-off valve & fuel filter concerns
Hey all,
I've had a fuel filter on my Eiger for years now. It's the small kind made for lawnmowers, generators, etc. After my last ride, when I pulled the fuel line off to work on the carb, gas started pouring out (even though the **** was turned to "on"). So after reading about that issue here on the forums, I decided to get a manual fuel shutoff valve. I also decided to replace the fuel filter while I was at it.
Here's my concerns all of a sudden:
When I found the same fuel filter at Lowes (it was a John Deere brand), it stated it was only good for engines up to like 15 HP. I ended up buying a generic brand that looked just like it (and like the one I've had) that didn't state any such limitations.
When I started assembling everything, I noticed that the inner diameter of both the shut-off valve and the fuel filter are smaller than both the tube coming from the fuel tank and the carb inlet.
This fact combined with the rated HP of the fuel filter, should I be concerned about my carb not getting enough fuel flow?
Thanks guys

Eiger fuel shut-off valve & fuel filter concerns
OK,
I did the fuel flow test today...
With a straight hose, I filled a cup in about 6.5 seconds. When I added either the shut-off valve or the fuel filter the time went up to about 9.5 seconds. I think that seems like a considerable difference. So now what...
I'm thinking I can get an automotive fuel filter (just have to find a small one). But, I'm not sure what to do about the shut-off valve. I guess I may have to spend the $70 to replace the factory fuel valve assembly.
Any other ideas out there?
