Question Hp on an 87 250R?

Can anyone give me a guesstimate on horse power on an 87 250R suzuki.

well it depends on whats done to it...

fully stock it should be around 38-40 (honda 250r claimed 38 and the zuki was just a lil faster...)

but modded, well, eh, they can be well in excess of 55hp...

4. Suzuki QuadRacer 250R -----> 31srwhp / 327lbs = 0.0948 hp per pound
5. Kawasaki Tecate 4 ---------> 33srwhp / 339lbs = 0.0944 hp per pound
6. Honda 250R ----------------> 31srwhp / 329lbs = 0.0942 hp per pound
7. Yamaha Raptor 660R --------> 35srwhp / 399lbs = 0.0877 hp per pound
8. Suzuki Z400 / Kawasaki X400 -> 32srwhp / 370lbs = 0.0865 hp per pound

your numbers are a little low.

the mojave claims to have 25hp at 8000?rpm, and the 230 has WAY more hp than a 250ex! it should be around 17 (i believe, justrandy can give better input on that one). and like stated before, the trx250r claims to have 38 hp, and the zuki has a little more than that.

and the ds number look a little high. try 34

thats not my info. just what I found. but I know the banshee is 37 RW hp. so I dont think the 250r is even close to that in stock form.

the shee # is about right. but keep in mind that the 250r motor is much more "high-strung" in stock form compared to a banshee.
