Default 08 LTF400KF8 - is it any good?

The local Suzuki dealer is clearing out a new LTF400FK8 (which I presume is an '08) for about $4200 U.S. equivalent.

Is this quad a good one? Any advice would be much appreciated.

absoloutley. and at a great price, too.

being a suzuki, its naturally solid and reliable. and the kq400 is an excellent full featured all-around bike for most anybody.

Do a search for Suzuki Eiger. The KQ400 is exactly the same machine except it has better looking plastic and racks. The Eiger has been around since '02. A very good, reliable and sporty mid-sized ATV.

One comment on the price of $4,200. Great price if it's a 4wd. Not so great if it's the 2wd model. Pretty sure that LTF designates 4wd.

OK, thanks, jaybee. That's very helpful, and I see you have an Eiger yourself. I will also check out the 4WD issue on this deal.

hey dude i have the kingquad 400 its probably the best 400class machine out there. Starts up no matter what. Its very hard to get stuck. comfortable ride, very fast top speed of about 80kmph . 4wd works really good. Easy access to install things like winches, handwarmers . It also has a recoil starter which many machines dont have. The kingquad
is very user friendly on all suzuki machines expecially for working on things like the engine. Has a fairly decent set of skid plates. Easy to shift automatic clutch and the hand shifter to go into reverse and low range is very easy to use they say suzuki and yamaha have the best transmission shifter thing. So yeah you wont be dissapointed with this quad. Check out some other reviews for this machine at

you can also read a review for any atv by almost every manufacturer. And once you get the machine you could write a review yourself! hope this helped

wow after i write that whole comment i see someone else has already posted the exact same website.... lol. I would also like to mention that the kingquad 400 only comes in 4wd models. Jaybee is thinking of the 2wd sport model the ltz400. But even for an ltz400 4200 would be a good price.

There is also a nice video review very informative

When it was still called the Eiger, Suzuki offered it in both 4wd and 2wd models. Looks like now that it's a KQ400, that is only comes in 4wd - either automatic or 5-speed.
