Where's the VIN

Where's the VIN
Ok. I found a way to determine the year of my Quadrunner 160 based on the VIN. Now my question, where is the VIN? I have looked around and don't see it on the frame. Could someone point me in the right direction?

it *should* be on the bottom frame tube on the right side of the machine just in front of the engine.
but who knows, maybe it was stolen at some point and somebody ground the plate down. its pretty hard to tell.
there may also be a number on the engine somewhere. on both of my bikes its on the right side on the front, written sideways.
