lt250 worth it?

Default lt250 worth it?

well i found a pretty clean lt250 the only thing the guy says it needs is a radiator hose, a head gasket, gas cap, and a chain. is it worth the 1k asking price?

It's worth a grand all put together. In current condition needing a rebuild,it's worth about 500$

thats what i was going to offer him. how much is a rebuild cause i asked if i went over there with a radiator hose and gas would it start he said naw cause the head gasket was gone which is obviously bs. so most likely its blown.

500 sounds low.

that's an '85-'86 quote. everybody wants the '87-'92s. they have WAYYYYY better front suspension, swingarms, reeds, and powervalves.

id offer him 750 - 850

i dont know cause ill only have 500 :/ and ill prob have to rebuild it cause it wouldnt start with the radiator hose

I guess I question how it can be in "awesome" condition if it won't run? Fully together and functional 1K would be a good price. In non-running condition maybe $750. A new top end should be about $150.00 or less unless it needs to be bored or resleeved. $500.00 may be low, but I have a feeling you would spend at least 250 to 300 getting it running.

def what im thinking and the guy has no idea about bikes but still if i were to repair the bike it would still need the radiator hose and chain and a gas cap(which is no biggie) but he says it turns over. whats the worst case senerio?

Doesn't run to me is a way to mask all kinds of problems...
