well i found a pretty clean lt250 the only thing the guy says it needs is a radiator hose, a head gasket, gas cap, and a chain. is it worth the 1k asking price?

thats what i was going to offer him. how much is a rebuild cause i asked if i went over there with a radiator hose and gas would it start he said naw cause the head gasket was gone which is obviously bs. so most likely its blown.

I guess I question how it can be in "awesome" condition if it won't run? Fully together and functional 1K would be a good price. In non-running condition maybe $750. A new top end should be about $150.00 or less unless it needs to be bored or resleeved. $500.00 may be low, but I have a feeling you would spend at least 250 to 300 getting it running.

def what im thinking and the guy has no idea about bikes but still if i were to repair the bike it would still need the radiator hose and chain and a gas cap(which is no biggie) but he says it turns over. whats the worst case senerio?
