Default Eiger belt change

My 04 Eiger, with 16500 miles on it and no failures at all, is going to get a new belt shortly. What do you all think of aftermarket (Carlisle, Dayco etc) vs Genuine. Apart from price, is there anything that I should consider?

I think I went with a Gates. Got it at a local auto parts dealer, Advance Auto. Probably got 1000 miles on it, still working just fine.

Cheers fot that RonV. It is easy to get Dayco here but not Carlisle or Gates. However I spoke to the local spanner wizz and he said that New Zealand versions have a different belt to what you guys get and it does not have a change interval set up. There are a number with over 50000km (30000miles) still on origional belts and some have had a very hard life. So I shall stay as it is and see just howlong it lasts.
