1986 LT250R Question

I think compression should be in the 125-175 range, but could be wrong. I know anything lower than a 100 is bad.

I still think if your pilot jet is not right #, that is your problem. If it ran good, at mid to high rpm, that is usually the culprit.

Was there scoring in the cylinder?

Yes there was scoreing but only normal, But is was out of round bad enough that the piston was blue (burnt) blow the ring glands. Had it checked and was out of round .10!!!! As far as the pilot jet it is the stock jet, I believe a 145. It ran fine up untill a coulple monthe ago. I was racing hard and got it pretty warm so thats when it all happened. The bore was a sloppy std before so I just finished it off . Time will tell I have the piston now just looking for some free time to mess with it.

Thanks to all!!!! who helped with my problem. Just got her back together today and she screams once again! I had to low of comresssiom, Fresh bore and piston and off we go, "Keed the rubber side Down"
