Default Need help with '91 king quad, engine size

Hi everyone, I am new here. Also first time quad owner. I need to know how to tell what engine size my 1991 Suzuki King Quad LT-F4WDX has. When I bought it the guy told me he just put a new piston and rings in it. He told me it is a 300. I need to replace the cam as one of the tabs for the timing chain sprocket was only half there. How do I tell the difference between a 250 and a 300? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

The 1991 KQ engine is actually 280cc's. The 250 cc engine was used in the LT-4WD.

Unless someone changed it......
