I just rebuilt my friends lt 230 and it wont start. I got a new plug, tested it and it gets spark. But when i put it in the engine and connect it the damn thing just wont fire.

hows the compression? the 230 should be a bitch and a half to kick over.

 

Yea what happens is, i got home from school and put a lil gas on the plug kicked it three times and started right up. Stopped for about 2 hours took a lil bit and got it started. Then i would kick it a sh*tload and it would start for 5 seconds then **** off. So tonight i kicked it and kicked it over and over again. Nothing. I tired to pop start it started up. Still wont kick over. WTF

 

hmmm this is very similar to what my 250r does. you may have a weakish spark. what color is the spark?

thats a compression problem. mine used to do that then i rebuilt the engine and did a valve job on it and now it starts perfectly. like what lt230s man said when u kick u will know it

 

Idk i figured it was compression to. But now it has a verrryyyyy weak spark. Barely even noticable. What do i do to fix that.

 

my 230 never had a real strong spark either but it always ran good whether i had to roll it off or not. but when i rebuilt the engine it really came alive

 

Thats the problem. We just rebuilt it.

 

when u rebuilt it did you do a valve job on it?
