Default Z-400 Exhaust Settings

I'm going to be installing a Motoworks SR-4 slip-on this weekend on my 06 DVX 400. I've been doing some research on what to do about jetting and here's what I've come up with:

I was planning on keeping my airbox lid on since I'm in MN and my wheeler gets muddy and wet quite a bit. I went to the Motoworks site and found their jet settings page where they recommend a 130 main with the airbox on.

So I hopped over to Jets R Us and checked out their DVX page only to find that a 130 is the stock jet....seems odd. I looked at the Motoworks page and noticed that no airbox lid uses a much bigger jet.

I remembered reading an article about an airbox cover that repelled water but would flow air, so I headed over to DK to see what I could find and I found this. Seems like a great price to me.

So, if I get that cover, should I get the 160 per Motoworks recommendation, or go with a 155 to accommodate the slight resistance of the cover? OR should I just leave the lid on and stick with the 130?

Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

If you're in water quite a bit, IMO I'd shy away from the lid. It is water repellent, which is good, but if the surface is continually rubbed, it wears off the finish. Some fabrics, don't know about the one they use for the lid, can be rejuvenated with silicone sprays, but you'd have to check with the manufacturer.

The amount of power you'll gain vs the piece of mind knowing your safe is something to consider. If it were me, I'd keep the lid and just go with a free flow (pick your brand) air filter.
