Default suzuki atv

i have a 2007 700 suzuki king quad with 1644 km.when i haul fire wood and using low range quite a bit , i find i have to add oil ,is this normal

any blue smoke out of the exhaust? leaks?

It shouldn't be using oil, and at 1000 miles, you wouldn't think it would need rings. There must be a leak somewhere.

So its only when you're in low range doing work?

it appears only when i haul heavy loads and using low range . i was talking to my dealer and he told me its normal. what do you think ? i have also email suzuki , i havnt had any reply yet.

Well. I have a 1988 Quadrunner, and I don't use any oil when I haul firewood.

How much oil are we talking about here?

the amount of oil i used to haul 6 cords of wood app. 192 km in total, is about 300ml

That is a lot of wood over a long distance. Was the engine straining due to either terrain or weight of the trailer/wood, or was it an easy pull?

the hardest hauling the wood was about half km in low range per load and 2 1/2 km on pavement.per trip
