hey welcome to the forum!

with the added backpressure of the quiet core, you may be able to get away with a 130. but the two jets are so close in size, you might as well go on the safe (rich) side with the 135, and the do a wide open run through the gears on a fresh plug, check the color, and then determine if you should go to the leaner 130. and besides, with the added airflow of the kn filter, youre probably going to be wanting the slightly richer jet anyways...

You have a good grasp on what to do...and K&N makes a great filter if you are racing and changing/cleaning it after every race...but if you want a filter that doesn't require so much maintenance and actually filters better than stock while providing better performance, go with a UNI filter. They cost less too.

And let me add a "Thank you" for getting the quiet core and not being "that guy"...you know, the obnoxious dunce who thinks more noise equals better performance and who blasts around with the "Earsplitter 2000" exhaust system pissing off the neighbors and getting our riding areas closed

i agree 100%! thats what i run on both of my bikes, mainly because of how they deal with moisture, unlike the kn's. and they're cheap as hell in comparison, too.

What lt230sman said was spot on. The best way is to read your plug after a WOT run with a new plug. If it's a nice brown color, you're in great shape. On the light side is lean, on the dark side is rich. Err on the side of rich. A lean condition means it is running too hot. I think you can also get a 132.5 main jet.
