Default LT-A400F voltage/battery charge problems

Ok here we go. I have an 02 Eiger that is giving me major voltage issues. Here is what I found so far. With engine running I am getting about 3 volts at the positive cable for the battery. Also the Neutral/Reverse lights are barely visible because they are so dim. If I turn the head lights on it goes up to about 6-9 volts . I read that if it was the stator that the thing would most likely not run, yet if it was the voltage regulator it would be jumping voltage like crazy which is what it is doing when the lights are on. The atv idles and runs great, it is just so annoying to have the flickering lights and to have to pull start it every time. Any tips or other things to check would be an awesome help, thanks!

The coils for motor operation are not the same as for charging. Check the charging side and see how they compare to factory specs. Suspect they are not too happy.

Thanks, do you know where I could find a service manual or what wires I should be testing to see if it is good also is there a way to fix it without replacing the stator? Thanks
