i actually have a rm 250 but im pretty sure its the identical motor as a lt250 racer but anyways i got all the bolts out of the clutch side cover but i cant get the kick start off and the kick start gears wont let the covoer pull off is there a trick or do i have to find a way to get that start off

 

if it hasnt been off ever then you may need a puller

 

More muscle! Just kidding, get a puller, crow bar, and shake and muscle it out but if its still not comeing out take the kick started off soak all of the insides of the motor dont worry u will have to drain the oil anyway. hope you get it off!
