My friend has a 2002 suzuki vinson and his steering is really loose.. I have another friend with a 2003 same problem I checked the tie rod ends they seem ok I guess I dunno maybe its the steering stem .. was wondering if anyone else has this problem before I start trouble shooting everything.. it's been this way since 500 miles like an inch of play.. any help would be great

 

I have an 02 Vinny and had no problems, I have changed the tie-rod ends and ball joints.

 

You also need to check the steering stem and ball joints. Usually one of those things has some play from being loose and/or crash damage.

 

all suzuki quads have a nut on the bottom of the steering shaft .sometimes they come loose.
