got this bike for 300. lots of welds on the frame.. needs bottom end bearings but plan on doin the whole motor. only missing silencer and air box. needs bearings around the entire machine from carrier to a-arms. was 300 too much and is an 85 worth redoin? thanks for any input

 

300 was fine. It is one of those things where it may cost you as much to rebuild that one as to buy a running model. On the other hand, when you get done it will be fresh and you have the satisfaction of a job well done. If you have the cash and time then the '85 is a fine machine for trail riding and even a little jumping, etc.

 

Good deal bought my '92 for $600 and was a basket case love the quad have play riden it, raced it and duned it. As fast as these newer quad plus no payments LOL!

 

i would jump all over that machine for 300. I would say you got a decent machine for that price, And the 250r quads are classics

 

tht was a good deal and if u look around u can rebuld tht cheap like i did i did a total restoration mod and now its set up for track and trail racing i have the 86 post some pics so we can see wat u got
