95 suzuki quadrunner 250

Default 95 suzuki quadrunner 250

i have quadrunner 250 that the manual fuel pump quit working so i put a 3 to 7 psi 12 volt pump on it and it floods when it idles any body have any ideals how to fix this or no where to get a rebuild kit for the factory one ? thanks

The fuel pump on these ATV's only pressurizes when running, you will have to replace it, there are no rebuild kits for them, you could put an off on switch on your elec.fuel pump and cut it off the same time you kill the motor and be fine I would think.

If you need a new one try bikebandit or cheapcycleparts.. They dont make rebuild kits for them.

i put an electric pump on it but when it sits and idles for just a short time it floods if you pinch the line off it idles geart for a while then the line gets hot and it pinches closed

With the electric pump, theres nothing telling it that not as much gas is needed at an idle so its just dumping excess fuel in. stock pump is the only feasible answer

i change the pump to a manual one from a lawn mower and it fixed it and new it only cost $25.00 instead of a $100.00 they want for the new one like what was on it thanks
