Hi just joined I have a Lt 185 for my son we live in south west FL man it gets hot the poor little thin get so hot it starts to smoke and use some oil I was thinking of putting a fan on it think I will need a rectifier voltage regulator and battery to supply 12 volt supply to fan any one have any ideas

 

I also live in sw fl richen up your fuel mixture and make sure your motor especially the fins are clean. Shouldnt need a fan I have 2 air cooled and ride them hard. I try not to idle over a minute or 2 if I stop I shut it off. Hope this helps
