I currently have the wheels off of my 2000 Suzuki quadrunner 250. Would anyone happen to know what the the lugs should be torqued at? They are the stock steel wheels.

 

Its pretty well just a common sense feel back thing like when you change a tire on your car.

 

I just picked up a 2006 Suzuki Ozark to use as a pit bike and was reading through the manual and it says to torque both front and rear wheels at 43 lb-ft. Due to my background in racing I'm a firm believer in using a torque wrench on all of my wheels and then re-torquing them again in 50 miles.

Wheel studs can be stretched by too much torque such as that provided by a high air pressure controlled impact wrench. If you do it by feel check to see exactly what your feel is with a torque wrench, you might be surprised that it may not be what is called for.

It all of a sudden hit me the other day to look in the owners manual. It says 40 ft-lb. I too am a firm believer on using a torque wrench on my wheels.
