07 500 cc question
#1
Hi, I'm going to look at an ATV tomorrow. However, I'm not sure about the transmission. Here is part of the craigslist thread:

I presume that it may be a vinson.
I currently own an 09 Prairie 360 4x4 - i have to completely stop before engaging 4wd.
I also own an 09 Polaris 500 Sportsman - I can shift into 4wd while in motion.
I researched Suzuki's 07 lineup and there appears to be an automatic and a semi-automatic 500, and both are Vinson Utility atvs.
With that said, what is the likely transmission on the suzuki?
Is it indeed a Vinson?
thanks

This is a 03 Vinson review but I do not think the machine had any changes. ATV Television Test - 2003 Suzuki Vinson 500 4x4 - YouTube

yes it is a vinson....there were more automatics made than 5 speeds.
Vinson is a great machine, it lacks a locking front differential though...really it's only downside. GREAT brakes and handling, plenty of power, comfortable ride even for being a solid rear axle.
