Default Newbie needs help

Just purchased an 06 King 700 for Christmas so I could go riding with my son who has an 05 250 Polaris. Previous owner of the King mentioned that there was a leak caused by a bad o-ring, which he provided, but said that he never got around to replacing. The leak occurs at the left inner rear boot and I'm not sure how involved replacing the o-ring is.

Long story short, I brought the King into a dealer who told me that they needed to drop both rear axles for inspection (the right side is perfectly fine as far as I can tell) and that I was looking at a MINIMUM of 6 hours plus parts. I know enough to be dangerous But I'm new to Suzuki so I'm looking for some guidance. Is the dealer being straight with me or does this seem sketchy? I've read other online posts that say you can "pop" the axle out of the diff and do work without touching the other axle, but I'm not sure.

Yes your are correct if leak is on one side and not in the middle IMO no need to take down other side...Dealer not being honest IMO.unless they seen something we dont know about..
