Default '87 LT230E Fuel Tank Vent Hose

Hey everyone, I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230E that has never had the vent tube coming from the gas cap properly installed. It had one but it just kind of flopped around, not connected to anything. I ordered a new hose from Suzuki as mine disappeared, and when I received it I noticed that it has clamps on either side, not just the gas cap. So my question is where does the other end of this vent tube hook up? I've looked around up by the bars and I can't seem to find anything. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Almost every quad and bike I've seen with a vent hose on the cap just routed it to a hole by the handlebars, so it didnt just flop around on top, I really dont know why yours has a clamp on bot ends, maybe look up a diagram of the fuel system and see where it goes? I googled the parts fiche for it, just shows the gas tank with the vent hose attached to the cap, no mention or indication of where it goes. Check to see if you have a small hole by the bar clamp, thats where most if them route it.

Ok cool I believe I'm over-thinking this, then. It looks like I just got a different part that's compatible but happens to have the clamps on either end of the hose. It works just fine, I've routed it up around the bars so it doesn't flop around any more. Took one clamp off and it's good to go.
