who would win a drag race?

 

i have dragged my friend's slightly modded 400EX many times with the same result. i always win by about 2 lenghts. i was ahead right from the start. hes also a better rider than me but he does have a setback. he does not have full use of his cluth hand. still i have waited for him to get goin good beforei took off and i still won. my quadracer isn't even in that good of shape either. all our drags have been on pavement and i don't knwo how long but it was pretty long enough for both of us to be going top speed. 400EX is still REALLY nice and fast though.

 

i like the 400ex and all, but there the slowest quads ive ever rode on. great for anything else when it comes to trail riding, but drags, racing, hittin jumps, then the thing is more less useless.

 

The 400EX is a very fast 4-stroke and handles great. However, they are no mach for a performance 2-stroke. I have raced a 400EX and ran away from it. my LT has alot of mods though, and a very modded 400 may be more of a chalenge. I would think a stock LT and stock 400 sould be a good race with the Lt pulling away.

i think the 400EX is sweet at jumpin!! its definately way better that my LT! the LT is more predictable in the air but the 400 just likes to sail off the smallest jumps and it can hang for a while while my LT basically just drives over em.

 

Hands down the LT wins everytime! I have dragged a few 400EXs in the dunes and easily smoke 'em. My lt doesn't have that many motor mods, and i was still taking on hopped up 400s. No contest here, a peformance two-stroke with a six-speed tranny vs. a slow 5-speed 4-stroke!

Stock for stcok it is very close depending on rider. Now take a 416 or 440 against a modded lt and the EX will walk away. But the 400EX is better at about everyting else.

 

Stock 4 stock the lt will probably pull away. But whoever said the ex is poor at jumping must of never rode one. The ex feels like all it wants to do is jump. Just off the little bump it likes to take air. And it is not slow. Just because a stock lt can take it by a bit doesn't make it slow.

I BOUGHT A 2001 400EX FOR MY GIRLFRIEND AND IT ROCKS FOR AN OUT OF THE BOX BIKE. I RIDE IT SOMETIMES WHILE I AM TRYING SOMETHING NEW AND INSANE ON ONE OF THE ZILLA'S AND IT IS FUN TO RIDE AND LOVES TO JUMP. THIS ANSWER IS SIMPLE STOCK TO STOCK THE LT 250 WINS. MODIFY VS MODIFY THE LT WINS. WITHA 440 KIT BIGGER CAM, PORTED VALVES, AND A GOOD PIPE THE EX WILL BEAT A STOCK LT BUT GIVEN EQUAL MONEY YOU CAN DO MORE WITH THE 2 STROKE THEN THE 4 STROKE.
