Default suzuki ozark tranny problem

was just riding my quad and did a small wheelie of a bump and when it landed it sounded like a chain in the engine fell off and was rattling around in my engine. now the quad still ran. i switch the gear up and down no issue there. some kind of chain poped off. now these are centrifical clutch 5 speed with reverse. i looked at oem parts and found that the only chain in the case was. a cam chain. i need some help to diagnose what it really is or what i am missing. now a while back if i rode with my son sometimes it would slip into another usaully down one. only happened afew times if that has anything to do what is wrong with it now.

Check your shifting linkages for sevier wear, then take a look at the link I have provided....but double check the year ( yours ). Ozarks are great ATV's IMO, but the shifting linkages wear badly and require replacing. If your linkages are tight...or very little slop, then I would recoomend jacking it up and inspecting for something loose in the driveline/suspension ( making the noise your describing ).

Sorry....here you go but.....may not be a linkage issue, tho I have had to replace parts of the shifting linkage on every one I gotten in my shop. Just normal wear.

That depends on whats wrong and how much mark up there is on parts and the hourly labor rate....and the shop. For me, probably $60 to $70 in parts. Did you inspect your linkages and have alot of "slop" in them?
