Default lt185 engine part differences??

hey guys,

just browsing for some top end stuff for a lt185, and was wondering what the difference was between these items. they are all for an '85 lt185, but im not sure what the differnce between '(OS:0.5) OPT' and '(OS:1.0) OPT' and just the plain piston is. same goes for the rings.

im realitivly new to this kind of stuff, so go easy on me any input is appreciated

cheers

It means Over Size piston and rings (Optional) .50 over piston/rings and 1.00mm piston/rings over size from the standard bore piston and rings. Appears the 1 mm over size piston and rings are NLA.

Over size pistons will have the size on top if it's been bored before.Look at this video especially at the the 7:20 mark that owners can check in the garage if they don't have the proper tools. At least it can tell you if the piston and cylinder is worn too far and needs an over size piston and rings.Plus after market pistons such as a forged Wiseco are a better choice than oem cast pistons in many cases.
