Hey guys, quick question to those that have experience with this clutch ..I installed new plates, friction and drive , new case gasket.. Now it's time to put back together..Does anyone know if the actuator arm gives any trouble lining up on the push/pull rod in center of basket? It's seems like that rod kinda moves around freely.. It would seem to me that when I push the actuator back in after that it would be a pain in the *** to get this lined up correctly on that grooved rod ? Yes ? Any tricks to assemble this? Or does it all line up easier than it looks to me...Btw my name is Dan and I appreciate any help in these forums available from you guys!

 

Hi Dan. This is a minor problem.
Remove the half case to be sure the teeth on this pin (the rack) face the rear of the machine. Replace the half case.
Then take the rod (pinion)' place it in the hole , rotating it back & forth until it makes contact (matches) the teeth.
Hopefully, it will have your clutch lever to the original position.
