carb setting

Default carb setting

how many turns should the idle screw be turns out,or just untill it idles good?
is that the only adjustment on it? 1992 king quad 300.thanks

so...looking at the part fiche for your machine and it appears you have a CV (constant velocity) carb with loads of adjustments...is your quad not idling well? If yes, then it may have more to do with the diaphragm (they are made of rubber and can develop tiny pin holes - hold it up to the light and hopefully you don't see any)...

idles good once it warms up,when its cold it will race up by itself and i have toturn it down,i do this atlease 5 times untill it warms up

Your choke or enrichment circuit needs attention...never a bad idea to give them a thorough cleaning once in awhile...CV carbs work great when clean...not so much when not...
