stiffer lt230s shocks?

stiffer lt230s shocks?
I'm using the front arms from an 87 lt230s on a small dune buggy project I am working on but the stock shocks are too soft to hold all the weight of the car. Does anyone know of any compatible shocks that are stiffer so I don't have to change my suspension mounts? I read on another post that the lt250r shocks can fit but I don't know how much stiffer those are compared to the lt230s shocks.
