WELL,
THIS MAYBE BE A BIT LONG BUT I HAVE TO GET MY 2 CENTS OUT. I HAVE BEEN NOTICING THAT WE ARE LOSING LAND EVERYDAY, SOME TO HOUSING PLANS AND COMPANIES BUILDING UP, AND ALOT OF LAND DUE TO MORONS, YES MORONS, YOU PROBABLY ALL HAVE YOUR LOCAL GROUP OF HALF WITS RUINING IT FOR ALL OF US. THESE ARE THE INCONSIDERATE TRASH HEADS WHO BELIEVE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO AS THEY PLEASE. WELL I HAVE NEVER BEEN AFRAID OF MUCH AND I AM NOT AFRAID OF THEM. BACK ALMOST 15 YEARS AGO WHEN I GOT MY FIRST ZILLA I COULD GO ANYWHERE. THE LOCAL COMPANIES AND FARMERS DIDN'T CARE IF WE RODE THROUGH AS LONG AS WE STAYED ON THE TRAIL AND DIDN'T BOTHER THEIR LIVE STOCK. THE STABLES AROUND HERE WERE COOL TO ALL THEY ASKED WAS WHEN WE SEE SOME ONE OUT HORSEBACK RIDING THAT WE KILL THE MOTOR AS TO NOT SPOOK THE ANIMAL AND LET THE RIDER BY. NOW IN THIS DAY WE CAN DO NONE OF THIS HERE BECAUSE ANY TWIT CAN FIND A 500 DOLLAR QUAD IN THE PAPER AND THEY BELIEVE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO WHAT THEY WANT. WELL, DON'T COME ACROSS ME OR THE 20 PLUS GUYS IN OUR GROUP BECAUSE WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THESE MEAT HEADS RUINING IT FOR THE REST OF US. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS 1) STAY ON EXISTING TRAILS 2) IF YOU TAKE IT WITH YOU THEN TAKE IT BACK HOME TOO, STOP LITTERING OTHER PEOPLES LAND 3) BE POLITE, IF SOME ONE WAVES YOU OFF THEIR LAND THEN POLITLY LEAVE AND WAVE BACK INSTEAD OF THE MORE PROFANE WAVE MOST HAVE. IT IS PRETTY SIMPLE. MY RIDE STANDS OUT FROM MOST AROUND HERE, AND YOU KNOW I HAVE VERY LITTLE TROUBLE WITH ANYONE, AND ALSO VERY LITTLE TROUBLE FROM THE POLICE WHEN I HAVE TO GO A HALF MILE DOWN THE ROAD TO GET HOME. WHY? BECAUSE THEY KNOW US AND THEY KNOW THAT OUR GROUP IS THE CLOSEST THING THEY HAVE TO A POLICE FORCE IN THE WOODS. I DON'T RUN FROM THEM WE TALK TO THEM. WE ARE NOT RATS OR SNITCHES UNLESS SOMETHING SERIOUS LIKE A CAR FIRE IS GOING ON. ALL I AM SAYING IS RIDE WITH SOME TACK AND RESPECT, MOST PLACES AROUND HERE DON'T MIND ME OR MY GROUP BUT THEY WON'T ALLOW ANYONE ELSE ON THEIR PROPERTY. IT IS TIME TO WISE UP AND POLICE OUR OWN SPORT IF YOU SEE SOMEONE RUNNING THROUGH SOME HARD WORKING FARMERS CORN CORPS THEN STOP THEM. IF YOU SEE SOME MEAT HEAD ABOUT TO BECOME A SATISTIC BECAUSE HE/SHE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH IQ TO PUT ON A HELMET THEN SIT THERE AND LAUGH AT THEM AND RIDICULE THEM UNTIL THEY GET ONE, THIS IS WHAT WE DO AND IT WORKS. I RELIZE THAT NOT ALL OF US ARE 23O POUNDS, BUT THERE ARE WAYS, I AM NOT A HARD A$$, BUT I AM NOT AFRAID EITHER. I JUST TURNED 28 YEARS OLD SO YOU ARE NOT TALKING TO SOME (NO OFFENCE TO THE OLDER GUYS BUT MOST OF YOU DON'T DO WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, YOU ARE RESPECTFULL) 60 YEAR OLD GUY WHO DOESN'T RIDE LIKE YOU OR LIKE THE THINGS THAT YOU DO. I JUST WANT TO KEEP WHAT WE GOT!!!!!!

PENNZILLA,
I read your post with a great passion for what you posted, because it was true.Unaware riders all over this world riding ATVs and NOT respecting property or much less, themselves and their ATVs.

I teach the safe and responsable use of ATVs to all ages.I practice what I teach as well.Today,we have FAR to many riders unconcerned about tommorrows ride.Even in the beautiful State of Michigan,we folks in the Lower Pennisula had our Forest rodes taken away from us in 1991.And it could get worse before it gets better if riders dont make themselves more aware of whats going on.Thanks for a great post and keep up your good works,
Bill

Out here in Arizona we are having the very same thing happen. Much of the land that I rode on as a kid (I'm 22 now) is going away to homes and buildings. My wife thinks I am nuts when we drive across town and I say "I used to do donuts where that stip mall is" or something to that affect. The advent of the $500 quad has made a lot of meat heads. Penzilla you are right on.

But how did you kick start a 500 when you were 13?

Thanks gentlemen, it is good to know I am not alone in this. I know my post was long and hard to read but I am just tired of the BS. I really like the fact that their are those out there that promote safty, and rational thought, not that I have never done anything stupid, (Like 6 staples to the head at the cochranton run this year--not atv related or alchol related though just stupid-lol) but once I am in the wrong I try not to compound the problem, with lies. Well like I said before THANK YOU AND KEEP IT UP!!!!

Oh LT500,
As to the kick starting a 500 at 13, should have never done it, (It was dads for the first 2 years, i got his 250r when he bought the zilla until i got mine 2 years later but i couldn't resist it) but like i said i am 230 pounds now and was quite sizable then and when all elsed failed i used starting fluid to make up for my lack of kickablitlity. Like I said before it is not like I ever did anything wrong, I just knew how to do it--most of the time--lol

penzilla great post. we just got kicked out of your LAST place to ride around here. there is no where else. if we wanna ride we gotta load up the quads and drive to byron. we got kicked out cuz the police are patroling wherre we ride because some idiot drove through a farmers field, knocked down his corn and did donuts in the middle of it. now theres nowhere to have fun. my friend got a 75 dollar fine for riding in a place that the owner didn't mind us riding only 3 weeks ago. now he won't let any1 in because of that one stupid guy. the cop that stopped us said they've given out at least 70 tickets this weekend alone. one loser had to spoil it for 70 other people. thats pathetic. what a loser.

Oh how I would like to have seen these half baked punks in our area, I can feel for you my friend. I just can't believe the amount of people that have no respect for other peoples property or the "priviledges" that we have by riding on their land. I too have have to load them up and take either a 45 minute or 2 hour ride If I want to be sure that we won't have any trouble. We still have a very small area right here to run on but it gets smaller everytime some circus chimp does something like this. That field of corps is that mans way of suporting his family and I really can't blame him for shutting it down, But I would still like to see the guys who did this dragged behind my sportsman.
