A buddy of mine has a 95 250 Quadrunner 4wd that is acting up. With the bike in neutral, the neutral light won't come on & the bike will not turn over. It did this about a month ago & a new battery seemed to fix it, even though the headlights come on nice & bright. Any ideas would be appreciated.

 

You should test the reverse light switch and neutral switch. I believe both are part of the starting circuit and if one goes out it won't start. Try putting it in and out of reverse to see if the neutral light will flicker on. Even if the reverse light comes on it could still be faulty. A friendly dealer might let you photocopy the test procedure from a manual. Might also test starter relay and neutral relay.
