well its finally happening. i really wanted a 2002 raptor but my dad thinks that we'd be "decieving" the insurance company if we did that. oh well. looks like instead i'll be getting a shiny new 2002 400EX (yellow of course). i sure woulda liked to have that raptor though. any1 got a nice 250R they wanna trade for a brand new 400EX?

Hey J, just my 2 cents, but don't get the 400. They are slow and have bad suspension. I got the oppertunity to ride a raptor and a 400ex back to back, woah! The raptor is sweet. The 400 falls on its face. The Raptor is the closest to a 2 stroke that a 4 can get. Tons of power, sweet suspension, liquid cooled, reverse, can lift the wheels even in fifth gear!!!! My next quad is gonna be a Raptor next year, Never a 400.

Alright man! Hey, you're not deceiving the insurance co. Doesn't your father pay his premium? Hasn't he done this for years? What will be the net difference between the Raptor and the EX in the long run anyway? $500-700? Plus you'd spend tall jack to get the EX to run with the Raptor. Anyway, I'm happy to see you getting back what's rightfully yours.
p.s. It isn't the insurance co.s money to begin with, it's yours. They don't pay anything in. Just a thought. Good luck man.

i know. i have ridden raptors and i want one so bad. i have tried to eplain to my dad that getting a raptor wouldn't be cheating the insurance but he won't listen. and about the 250's. i'd love to get one again but ever since my insurance offered to buy me a brand new fourwheeler my dad decided that would be the best. and we could always sell it. i think its a good idea too. oh well if any1 has a 250R they wanna trade and its in nice shape i'm all for it. maybe i'll show this post to my dad and try to get him to change his mind.

Why not a Banshee? Congrats on whatever machine you get, both are good machines.

ya know...i was seriosley thinking about getting a banshee for a while. but after i saw the 400EX in person it made a big impact on me (i don't know why it did cuz i see 400's all the time). i realized i needed somethin that was easy to race and also 400's are better for my type of riding..

Tell your dad that he needs to ride a Raptor and 400EX and then when he prefers the Raptor tell him he can ride it whenever you're not so that way it seems like he gets something out of it. I hope this helps

already thought of that. see my dad wouldn't mind gettin a raptor its just that hes really paranoid about the inurance company not approvin....see we told em we maintain our property with the quad (adn we do a tiny bit, i've hauled a few wagons of crap around with it). he told me today that we need to get a trailer hitch for the 400 lol. i said theres no need to worry but he is i guess.
