k, I have a 87 uad racer. The kickstarter has always worked fine. Till the other day all of a sudden when I kick down it dose not return back up it stays down. It has never done this before it is quit weird. I do not know why it has done this all of a sudden. If you can help me please do. Thanks matt.

The same thing happend to my Blaster before. If you take off the side case where the kickstarter goes in you will find a spring hooked on to the kickstart rod thing and hooked to the case. You either broke the spring or it just came unhooked. Hope I helped.

Let's see.....When you kick the starter down it magically return's why? Just a force of nature? No. The spring brings it back. If it no longer comes back what would I first check? Boy I don't know. I would pull the carb off I think.

lol zillaman. just a word of advice dasheek, make sure your quads on its side before you pull off the case. when i had to put my new clutch in i slipped a small step ladder in on the side by the gas tank. i know it seems kinda obvious but i had some friends who had to check the spring in their quadsport's kickstart but they left it on all 4 wheels and parts fell everywhere.
