I was just wondering if these dimples were normal on the '86 LT250R's chassis? They are located on the right hand side under the engine and next to the rear brake lever. The bottom of that tube looks normal and nothing seems to be out of place. There is no cracking of the paint either. What do you think?

I don't think that those are factory made but if there are no cracks or anything I wouldn't worry about it.

My '88 LT500R has "dimples" along the frame in that area too. If by dimples you are referring to the smashed appearance of the frame tubing (it is bent inward instead of outward) then the answer is yes, they are factory. Without them, there would be interference between the engine and the frame.

I kind of thought they may be becuase there wasnt any cracking in the paint and everything still seemed to line up properly. That pic is looking down on the lower tubes of the chassis from above, you can see some two indentations in the frame.

My '90 250 Quadracer has them too. Nothing to worry about.
