thanks danno, but i'm in canada, and i've never shipped parts over the border before, i think i would have to pay tarrifs. there is one guy who has a shop in the city here and i think i will buy a carb off him, should be a lot easier. I have 500 bucks canadian, which is only about 300 american... i don't think i can find an engine in america for that much. I'm going to have to get one here i think, or build my existing engine, after I buy all the main pieces i'm missing and install them i'll hire someone to do all the hard transmission and clutch assembly. That stuff scares me...

The numbers for a bike junk yard out of missippi.
The guy won't sell you any thing that isn't operational, unless you ask for it personaly.
As far as terrifs, with junk yards, you know some times things can be worked out.
Is it a carb, or is it some yummy halloween coockies.
Once I bought a 1985 RZ 500 (from canada) you will be surprised on what you can do if you put your mind to it.
I'm not suggesting to get a little radical with the law, just a don't ask don't tell game.
Good luck, you should have plenty of time sence winter is settling in around thier.

The tranny isnt all that hard to assemble if you have a Clymer manual, it has some good illustrations (I just did it on my '86 and it works perfect now). I would also look for the pieces, you may not save a lot of money but you will learn a ton in the process that you couldnt gain from just transplanting an engine. Dont be affraid to do the work. If you need any help just email me and I'll help you out with the assembly of the tranny through pics and some simple instruction.
When you purchase something in the US you shouldnt have any problems shipping them to Canada. I've sent a few things your way via USPS and havent had any problems what so ever. They dont need to know whats in the box. Even if they did I still dont think you would run in to any problems. What do they care if you purchased a used crankcase cover for $15 on ebay? I'll get a hold of someone I know that may have the parts you need and see what we can work out if you like?
