OIC.......Hey 2STROKESRULE, where abouts in Sanford did you guys do your little drag race? My brother lives downd there (he works at RUBB somethin' by the airport), and if he gets his YZ490 together I'm gonna bring the 'Zilla down to see what happens.....perhaps....perhaps you guys could come up, and me and my ridin' buddies could all come down, and have a helluva good time rippin' **** up.....(but not till late spring/early summer, of course)......we'll hafta wait and see........latah

The frames do have weak spots, but you can strengthen it fairly easy with a few gussets. The 87 and up moddles weighed a bit more because of the big box chain adjusting system and the heavy stock exaust. I went riding a couple of weeks ago with some guys that never rode with a Quadracer before. They were really suprised at how light it was. The dry weight of 293lbs come from the Suzuki service manual not Clymer. I think that the 88 Quadracer weighed 325lbs according to Suzuki. I had a 86 Honda 250R and if I remember right, it weighed like 329lbs according to Honda. I can tell a difference with the lighter weight Quadracer when it comes to throwing it around on the trails. The Honda did handle better but, the Suzuki takes to body english better.
