I have a 86 Quadracer and i posted a forum earlier about giving up on Suzuki. I really dont want to sell it but i am forced to unless i can buy a new stock 86 swingarm and make it stronger to last. How about of i weld braces on the inside and outside of both the arms? Could i use stell and would it help or use alluminum? Also, what is ''gusset''? Is there anything else i can do? I ride a small mx track and trail riding. Thanx alot. I LOVE the quadracer but will have to sell it unless i get some replies from u guys. PLEASE HELP!!! ,David

 

Use an inert gas MIG weld to build up your broken weld, and reinforce it with bracketing in problem corners.

 

A "gusset" is a small plate of steel welded at the joints of two pieces of metal. Hard to describe,.........picture this: Looking at a bookshelf from the front.....Where the shelves lie between the uprights.......Under each shelf,where it meets the uprights, a triangle mounted and meets both pieces. I probally just confused you..just confused my self. LOL

Is that price including the carrier that fits it too? I found a guy i think im gona send the swingarm to that should fix the problem by far.
