I have a 91' suzuki lt250r. What is a good oil to use in my transmission? I will be putting it back together pretty soon with a new clutch, is there anything I need to know about putting a new clutch (plates and springs) in? Also, I need to find a place to buy a piston for it. I need one that is .75 mm over or .030 in. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use Bel*Ray Gear Saver 85w transmission oil. Its made for 2-stroke transmissions.

Soak the clutch plates in oil prior to installing them.

Don't run 85W oil in your tranny if you plan on riding in cold weather. In Wisconsin I usually run 30w or 40w don't run anything heavier it is simply too cold and the oil gets too thick. Don't over torque the bolts with the springs, the fingers in the basket WILL break off if you over tighten, check the torque specs.
