What are you guys running as a mix ratio? What brand of oil?

I ran Maxima Super M a very long time ago but it's not readily avaiable in my area anymore. I checked the local stores and I a seriously considering using the Pennzoil marine synthetic mainly because it is a full synthetic and its in just about all the places I checked.
Thoughts on this???

I made the mistake of going with an oil like you are thinking about. I highly recommend not using a marine oil. I run Maxima 927 at 32:01 ratio.
The bad thing about this is that maxima breaks down in cold weather so in the winter I'm going with golden spectro at 32:01. When I ran "bad" oil my zilla ate spark plugs really bad I took 6 plugs with me when I went ridin. If I doesn't get real cold go the the Maxima 927 I had great results. I also use JP1 octane booster 2 oz. per gal. That made a big difference too.

man i use Yamalube in mine. 32:1. Does great. I was also told that using Mobil 1 in the crankcase is good too. Mobil makes a motorcyle oil for higher rpm's but i was told to use the formula for cars. I dont personally know it was just a tip from one of our engine builders.

I like the Klotz syntec blend myself......along w/ the cool odor that has people asking "What the hell's that smell?"

32:1 Klotz BeNol, this stuff smells like no other, the "extra virgin castor oil" smells like a top feul drag car, Maxima 927 smells similar but not nearly as potent, i love it but below freezing I run golden spectro because BeNol is too thick.

Isn't Mobil 1 a synthetic. If it is I wouldn't use it. I've read in these forums more than once that synthetic will eat up your gaskets. It was recommended to use natural oils without any synthetics.

yeah Mobil 1 is a full synthetic, i haven't used it,so i wouldn't know personally. It was just a tip that our engine builder gave us, and it's only to be used in the crank case (like i said) it's suppose to be better on the clutches. if anybody knows first hand then please share info

Mine's bored 50 over and was told by the guy I bought it off of to run 40:1. It really seems to smoke though. I also see a lot of oil splatter coming from the exhaust joints. I'm pretty new to 2 strokes and was wondering if this is relatively normal. Other than that it runs great though.
