i just got an email and some place in michigan said that they would be selling the new z400 for $6000, not too bad of a price!!

 

Uhhhh....ok. Should we believe this e-mail from *someplace* in Michigan? How about something a little more official than my grandma heard from her mute neighbor who told her deaf son who was listening to the radio that Rush Limbaugh....oh forget it.

$6000? And I think the 400EX is around $5700. Seems plausable. How about the name of that dealer?

$5700. for a 400ex sounds pretty high. A friend bought one new last summer for $4900.00 out the door.

 

mine was either 5600 or 5700..oh well i only ended up payin 100 dollars for it.

 

I've heard a lot of incredible OTD prices on this site and wonder how true they really are. I've gotten great deals on snowmachines just because I had a connection with the dealer but I don't pretend to tell people that I got it for an awesome price because I'm such a good haggler.

$4900 sounds a bit too good to be true. That is $800 less than suggested retail. I wouldn't doubt that some people get them for that price but they either have connections or there are some special circumstances.

 

Actually thats about right becuase i was able to get my 2001 400 brand new for 5,120 out the door at park cycle in canton Ohio.

Chicago Cycle Center advertises brand new 2002 400ex's for $4799.99 in magazines such as Cycle USA, so what I said is not unrealistic.
