Best pipe for LT250R
#11
don't see how you could pass that up. that would be a helluva deal to be able to ride whatever you want to. heck, i'd be taking both out everytime and just switching between the two. talk to you later and good luck with the 250...

GuyRaptor,
One thing to consider when buying a pipe is if you plan on doing any motor work now or in the future. If you are planing to do some work to the powerplant you might want to think about buying a pipe from the company that is going to do the work for you. Performance companies tend to match their pipes to the work they do. Most pipes will give you an increase, Some better than others, but a pipe matched to motor work the best.
I ride an 86' with a Trinity Port & Polish and head mill with a Trinity Torque pipe. When I bought the Racer it had a Graydon Proline torque pipe on it. I could accualy tell a difference when I made the change to the Trinity, I could tell that there was more there. Graydon makes a fine pipe, I also have a AAEN pipe I bought with another motor that I've yet to try. It too is a nice hand made pipe from the 80's.
Just a few thoughts, Danno

Danno, thanks for the help. I don't have any real big plans for the motor. I want this to remain a decent trail bike and want to help keep engine temps down. The only real plans I have for it is a pipe/filter, Keihin 36mm Airstryker, minimal boring with a PD Cool Head and maybe a RAM valve. I'm trying to keep the bike for more low/mid power and don't really have any plans for porting the cylinder. If I do it will only be a mild port job for better bottom end.
Thanks
Thanks
