Do you think I can put a zilla motor in my raptor frame fairly easilly?
Have any of you ever seen a zilla motor in a raptor?
I think it would be pretty sick!
Thanks!

Why bother? The Raptor is very tippy, if you have 500cc's of 2 stroke power in a very tippy quad, you are going to flip it very easily. Why not keep the Raptor, go buy a Zilla, and have a 2 great machines, instead of one hokey machine.

Well I was planning on putting a longer axel and wider a-arms on as well if I swaped the engine.
I don't have the cash for 2 bikes.

OK I understand, I still wouldn't do it, just because it annoys me when I see a big ol suzuki motor in a 250R or something, it just isn't right to "mix and match" motors , in my opinion. If you want the power of a Zilla, why not sell the Raptor, buy a LT500 and have cash left to burn. Anyway, by the time you get extended axle, A-Arms, and a motor that runs strong, you will have the price of a nice used Zilla, or close to it.

eh... The zilla had a great chassis and is at least on par with the Raptor if not better from 88+. If I' were you I'd NEVER put that engine in that quad. It's a waste of time. It would take a bit of modding to get it in there, and seriously, by the time you were done paying some one to HACK up your Raptor frame and extending everything you could have easily paid for a Zilla.

Now, a quad that the engine goes in best would be an aftermarket 250R frame. If not that then maybe an LT250R frame because its been done, looks great can be done very cheap and works well. Also, a Suzuki motor in a Suzuki chassis is a beautiful thing. Don't ruin it!!!! lol

ok ok so maybe the raptor isn't the coolest lookin quad ever. the 250r is, and i'm talkin stock quads here. that crf450 quad was pretty nice tho, but not the best lookin ever. if you wanna see the coolest quad ever go to my photo album, go to the folder called my photos, then click the 250r with the white frame. heh heh

The zilla frames weren't the best and are very harsh compared to the Raptor's. What I would do is make it so you can run the raptor motor or the LT500R motor. Have the best of both worlds.

Thats what I wanted to hear! But I'll probably sell the raptor and pic up a clean zilla.
