I have an 86 lt250 Quadracer that is pretty much stock, except that it has been bored .080 over. I've had it with Mikuni!! There products suck! I'm going Keihin but I need some suggestions on size (36 or 38mm), jet sizes and so on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Best money you will ever spend, I went through hell with my Mikuni. AirStryker is the best Keihin series, but they only come in 35mm and 38mm, I have a ported 92 QR with a pipe and Carbon Tech reeds, I went with the 35 at the time, though I wish I got the 38 now. It works great, I put it on did a few plug checks (perfect), I have yet to touch it since

What have been your problems with the Mikuni carbs? I haven't had any problems with my 34mm or the 38mm flat slides.

Well I've got low and mid range down, but I've put new main jets (for top end) and needles but it just doesn't respond like it should. At full throttle it pops and sputters and I go through plugs like its no ones business. I've tried using premium plugs (br8es) and four different positions on the needle but to no avail. What a piece of f.o.d!!

It didn't idle well, sputtered when going through woops, sputtered somtimes coming out of a right hand corner. I put new neddle and seat (leaking problem), adjusted float level, new pilot jet, couple of new mains, needle hight, I played with everything.

I had the 38 Air Striker on my LT but I had alot of stuff done to my engine. If you plan on leaving the engine alone go with the 35. I liked the carb, but didn't ride on it that long. Call Hy-Tech-Atv at 909-794-5776. They had the cheapest price at 159.95.

The only thing I have had to touch on the Keihin, was the air screw when it got cold in the fall.

Hy-Tech is the best on Keihin you can't beat thier prices or service
