Hey guys I was just looking at my piston from my 87 lt 250r and i noticed that i have 3 small holes drilled on the exhaust port side in line with each other from top to bottom, near the center of the piston. Any ideas of why this was done?

Well, according to the directions I got with my Wiseco they are called "Lubrication Holes". It says "If the cylinder has an exhaust bridge, the piston should contain lubrication holes on the skirt where it contacts the exhaust bridge. If the piston does not have the lubrication holes on the skirt, follow these steps to drill lubrication holes........." My 87 Zilla didn't have those holes on the piston I took out, and the new one doesn't have them either, so I'm assuming I don't need the holes for nuttin'........
