Vinson feedback

After reading the other posts about the Vinson, it appears the shifter is the only complaint people have about the new Suzuki. I too experienced trouble with the shifter when I test rode one a while back. The one I eventually purchased was from a different dealer and it is sometimes difficult to shift, but nothing I can't live with. If there is a service bulletin from Suzuki with a shifter kit that could be installed under warranty, it would be great.
Would I buy the Vinson again? Absolutely! The power is surprisingly good and the auto tranny is awesome. We also have a Polaris Sport (Scrambler) and the Suzuki tranny is far superior. I am especially pleased with the engine braking feature. The selectable 2WD/4WD is very cool. I ride it hard like a sport machine and the 4WD button has been handy a couple of times in deep mud or off-camber washouts.
My only complaint so far is that the oil filter is difficult to get to for an oil change, but that is a good thing for it to be well protected, unlike my Raptor.
Can't wait to get the Vinson to Red River this summer for some mountain trail riding. I think Suzuki really did their homework on the Vinson and got it right. A tremendous value for the money, considering all of the technology, features and buttons included in the base price. I also feel like the reliability is far better than the Polaris 4x4s.
I got it out the door for $6,000, no tax, and got the 2.95% for 60 months. It is only costing me $7/month for interest and no money upfront to have a blast. This was a determining factor in my decision vs. a new silver Grizzly 660, which would have been at least $700 more and no special financing.

I too did my research and tested several models as well. I just purchased a new Vinson as well. I paid 6000. plus tax from a very reputable reliable dealer who won a service award. I paid this price because I feel that I will get the service I need there. I can live with the shifter as well. It has been raining here, and I just got it Saturday. Can't wait to do some riding.
