The Z is really to new to answer some of those question, im sure if u rejet it, get a pipe and are a good rider that it would keep up with a stock raptor....im guessing of course....but the Z's come with a 6month warranty, and if i do get a 2k3 model, i would just ride the hell outta it for the first 6 months, if the tranny breaks etc...then take it to the dealer u bought it at and they'll fix it... and about kawa/honda coming out with anyhing, i highly, highly doubt honda will come out with anything within the next year.and kawa is supposed to come out with a rebadged Z400...

I think Kawasaki will most likely come out with that twin the magazine had spy photos of. It seems when the magazines have so called "spy photos" the machines usually come out. I don't like the idea of one company selling anothers bike with just different plastic, but hey there won't be any of that mine's better argument.

Ahh, but thats not true! The Green plastic would draw in/hold more heat, causing higher engine temperatures, resulting in poorer engine performance over the yellow plastic... So, HA!

haha i think you are on to something thier binfordw! but enyways just like the raptors(2001) to the (2002) rebuilt the transmition and maybe some other stuff so i would like to do the same for the z and then just get the better deal! but till then i am just going to have to drool!*_^ or just get a raptor! lol

The Kawi twin that might be coming out could really be more of a shaft driven or auto machine to compete with the Polaris 500...
Then again, the Kawi's 650 supposedly makes a bit more power than it's Raptor-deriven brother, the Grizzly 660.
