Z400's in Oklahoma

Well, I'm stepping up from a 250EX, so I don't have much experience on a higher powered sport quad. I did test drive the EX and the Z so here's my 2 cents. The z400 is just more comfortable, softer seat and more upright riding position, but I'm only 5'3". The ergonomics seemed to fit me better. Can't really comment on handling yet as I've only ridden on a parking lot and up and down my street. The Z is quicker than the EX but it wasn't a night and day difference. I test rode a raptor too, I don't think the Z even comes close to the Yamaha's raw power. I'll be at Appalachia Bay on Saturday, so I'll get to really test it out then.

250excited, Bring it down to Atoka for the sand drags. Lets see what it'll do
There is a link to Atoka Motirsports park on My Web Site come on down & play with us. I'm going down tomorow for the test & tune & the race is Sat.
Memorial day weekend is the ASDA Heartland Nationals. Quads & dragsters from all over the country. It'll be a blast

What! you got it today & don't have 10 hours on it yet? J/K
Just outside Atoka there is a 100 yard sand drag strip, Christmas tree, timing lights, the works. All classes are run on indexes. If you can cut a good light & make consistant runs you can be compeditive. I've run there 3 years, first on a 250R now on my Raptor. I'm between Broken Arrow & Coweta & it takes me about 2 hours to get there. I go through Okmulgee to get there.
We run the 2nd Sat of each month, March through Nov. The Fri before the race there is a test & tune $20 for all the passes you want to make. We usually have at least 100 quads each race, Many more for the nationals. Every thing from stone stock to full custom drag only quads, some very trick equipment! I help a friend of mine with his car, it's a turbo VW in a top fuel frame 400~500 HP very cool car!
Last year at the Nationals in Pro3 quad I finished 3rd & made $350, the winner got $1500!
The only modification I did to my Raptor was to build a wheelie bar for it (you can see my wheelie bar on My Web Site) You should have it broke in by Memorial day weekend so come on down & play!
Let me know if you need any more info.
